Session 4: A Call to Action: Policy Recommendations and Bringing Community to the Capitol
Assemblymember Mike Fong, Faith Lee, Richard Calvin Chang, Dr. Angelica Cortez, Priscilla Huang, Karla Thomas, Chanchanit Martorell
The session aims to highlight how advocacy organizations have translated UCLA research into tangible actions. Organizations will provide updates on their current initiatives and projects, showcasing the evolution of their strategies since the 2023 Summit. This insight will offer a comprehensive understanding of the ongoing efforts to address AANHPI community needs. The session will conclude with actionable recommendations for both the community and elected officials. The AAPILC will provide specific guidance on how the community can support their initiatives, and advocacy organizations will outline policy recommendations for elected officials to consider
